Pumpkin Cultists asked:

Hi. Our two dogs are suffering from separation anxiety every time that we go out or even sit without them right next to us. They are becoming very needy and clingy. What is the best way to start getting them used to us being away? Any help would be greatly appreciated as they have become destructive when we are away for any period of time.

Can a dog help a high anxiety child?

Cortney N asked:

I have a 7 year old son who has GA (general anxiety) and ocd. He has always wanted a dog. I never had a dog, or any pet for that matter but I do remember hearing something about how dogs can help with anxiety. Is this true? I know dogs are alot of work and my husband and daughters would also be thrilled to have a dog.

Has anyone heard of anything about this?
wow, all these responses are wonderful. We were thinking about getting a Golden retriever, that is what my husband always wanted…..is that good choice?

Stress relief exercise can work better than anything else to rid you of that sinking feeling. Before I started exercising regularly, I would wake in the middle of the night, almost every night, worrying and stressing out about things. I don’t do that any more though – read on to find out how I beat it for good…

Running - the best stress relief exercise I’ve found so far is running. It’s not for everyone, and to be honest I didn’t think it was for me either, until I started. Once I got past the initial few weeks, I couldn’t believe how much fun it is. I know now that this fun feeling I get from running comes from the endorphins released into my bloodstream. But that’s fine by me.

Sport - it doesn’t matter which sport to be honest, the only thing that matters is that you do it. Sport can be a great way to loosen up and get rid of your troubles and anxieties, and it works especially well if you are one of the many people who cannot stand running. The trick is to pick a sport that you enjoy, and then the physical activity part of it is almost a byproduct.

Resistance training - Otherwise known as weightlifting. Now I know that you don’t get the same endorphins benefit that you will from running, but personally I don’t think you can beat the feeling you get from a vigorous weightlifting session. It’s not like you have to kill yourself and benchpress your body weight or anything, just some simple resistance training will do. You’ll be amazed at the difference this makes not only to your stress, but your general wellness.

Coping With Panic Attacks

robby1000aday asked:

Get A Free Report at www.aboutpanicattacks.net Anxiety disorders can be extremely scary to live with. They keep you in a state of fear in anticipation that something terrible might happen, a feeling that youre under threat. Though the sense of being under threat can be real or imaginary, the effects are devastating. Most people who havent experienced extreme anxiety or a panic attack, cannot understand how terrifying the experience is. Theres a sensation of losing control, the heart throbs violently, the chest tightens leading to breathlessness, dizziness takes over and you dont feel all there… Its as if part of you is present, while another part of you is absent!
