We have all been there, sat at work, the phone is ringing, you have a million and one things to finish before you go home, but you just can’t seem to concentrate. Well chances are you are suffering from stress!

Stress is extremely common in the work place and can range from lack of concentration, feeling tired and run down to a whole range of other more serious symptoms. So it is important to try and tackle your stress and not let it build up. Below are few tips and tricks that you can do which should provide some stress relief:

1. Deep Breaths Take some time out and take deep regular breaths, breath in…breath out…This will also work great in conjunction with getting some fresh air, get away from your desk for 5 minutes!

2. Journaling This is a great technique and allows you to right down or record your thoughts, obviously if it’s your boss who is stressing you out make sure you don’t leave your thoughts laying around or your boss could be in for a suprise!!

3. Listen To Music Grab five minutes on a break to listen to some music on your ipod or car stereo. Listening to your favourite song can provide some welcome stress relief.

4. Laughter – Is one of the best medicines and your troubles can seem a mile away after a good laugh. Laughing actually releases endorphines which are a feel good factor and your stress levels should soon be on their way down.

If you are concerned about your stress levels then you should always consult your local GP for some stress relief advice. Also look at getting some stress balls.
